Check of gas pipes
With the conclusion of a gas supply contract building and flat owners as well as tenants get responsible for a competent and regular check and maintenance of the house gas network. This is the issue as well of the connection and use conditions for gas as well as of the general safety duties according the applicable law.

The Technical Rules for gas installations require a visual check one time a year and a comprehensive technical check of all gas pipes every 10-12 years at the latest. Shorter check intervals, e.g. every 5 years are recommended when the building age or state increase the risks. The professional installation of gas pipes provides with a long-lasting and safe lifespan. But leaks and rust cannot be excluded. Even the most secure technique requires regular checks.

The check case ecom-DPK offers a complete kit for the evaluation of gas installations. Connection tubes with quick-fittings as well as practical connection adapters render the operation uncomplicated. The following checks at gas networks with operation pressures up to 100 mbar can be easily performed with the ecom-DPK:

  • Preliminary check (load test with 1 bar test pressure)
  • Main check (tightness check with 110 mbar test pressure)
  • Leakage rate measurements (by e.g. 50 mbar)
  • The results of these checks can be documented via infrared
    thermal printer.
