Firing-plants burning solid combustibles become even more popular in
the past years. Thanks to new techniques (e.g. Pellet heating) and
improvements in the total combustion process, these plants have
become competitive to current systems. Despite all improvements, the
flue gas still contain a lot of substances which can damage electrochemical
cells.

Particular problems will occur in regards of:
• increased dust soiling,
• organic compounds.

In order to protect your ecom instrument against such substances we
have developed simple and economical solutions.

Gas washing bottle and Peltier cooler

The following functions will be fulfilled using the combination Peltier cooler
and gas washing bottle:

Filter:
• Pre-filtering of the dust-soiled gas
• Widening of the gas surface thru bubble formation

Water bath:
• Dilution of sensor-damaging organic compounds

Peltier cooler:
• Drying of the humid sampled gas

Important:
The gas drying at 5 °C increases the life span of the sensors.
